History
DONAUCHEM s.r.o. is a member of the international group DONAU CHEMIE AG, whose history goes as far back as 1828.
Currently, DONAU CHEMIE AG has four business units:
- Donau Chemie
- Donau Carbon
- Donau Kanol and
- Donauchem
The headquarters of the company are in Austria, with three production plants manufacturing high quality chemical products. Other companies are based in Austria, Germany, Italy, USA, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and in Romania.
In Slovakia, DONAUCHEM Slovakia was founded in 1993 as a 100% daughter company of DONAUCHEM Handelsgesellschaft m.b. H. The company changed its name in 2005, when the mother company took over the distribution company Urseta Slovakia s. r.o. and subsequently the two sister companies DONAUCHEM Slovakia and Urseta Slovakia merged.
At the market the company was well known as DONAUCHEM-Urseta s.r.o..
In 2010 the company DONAUCHEM-Urseta s.r.o. has been renamed to DONAUCHEM s.r.o.
